I was responsible for all aspects
of the front office while I was working for Powers Spray Equipment.
The company was in financial distress so I was responsible for setting up
payment schedules and maintaining the budgets including the forecasting of
future revenue so valid budgets could be maintained during the off months
of this seasonal business. I negotiated directly with the IRS, Texas
Comptroller and other collection agencies to try and forestall any legal
actions by these agencies. Unfortunately, the business was not able
to survive in the long run and had to close it doors. I’ve have been
contracted on a temporary basis to come in and help the former employees to
start their own power spray business and get the accounting systems and
banking systems set up.
Systems Integrator, Adaptive Consulting Group
Assigned to several customers, the
largest being a 25 person commercial lending company where I built several
“white-box” computers and integrated a Dell Server farm for their file and
print services. The computers where attached to a small Active Directory
domain and ranged from XP to Vista Ultimate. Also provided their primary
technical support for networking, desktop and printing. Maintained an
inventory of replacement parts and performed repairs on the systems. Several customers also required
installation and general maintenance of several MySQL databases, Perl
script debugging (most scripts where provided by open source systems) and
debugging and compiling open source c code to support their back office DB
and monitoring requirements. These systems were running Red Hat Fedora Core
5 through 8. I have installed and configured Apache HTTP server on
windows as well as installing PHP and enabling it for Apache. I
supported IIS server on Windows and helped create Document
directories. I have used WinVNC to access both Unix and Windows
system which included setting them up and file management. My Ubuntu
experiences include setting up a SSH login from a remote computer, as well
as installing mysql/perl using the packet manage. I have created user
accounts using the GUI interface and the command prompt. I have used xming
on windows systems to run xgraphic programs such as xterm, as well as a
more advance use of xlaunch to get the GUI login screen to run on a remote
computer and run a Ubuntu session there.
Loan Processor, Supreme Lending
●
Assigned to manage multiple
projects at a time. I was responsible for several clients
simultaneity and gathering documents needed to get the loan process going.
●
Coordinated with other offices like
the corporate office that housed the underwriting, title company, builder
(if there was one).
●
Worked with programs like Point,
Encompass, Word, and various mortgage web sites. When we used outside
mortgage companies I had to learn their process and web site
management. Each site had a different structure to import loan data,
loan rates, and transfer documents.
●
I have completed more than 5 loans
totaling around 2 million dollars with at least 3 million in pending making
it around 5 million dollars worth of loans I was responsible for.
●
Work with people’s credit scores to
place them in loan programs that best fit their needs.
